Whatta Year...
A 2023 Review and Path Forward
Holy sh**. What a hell of a year 2023 was. That year changed me more than I could’ve imagined. BUT…it has been all for the better. The pain has made me a better man and I can’t wait to put the learnings to work in the year ahead.
Talk about the ups and downs…
Ups
Winning my last ACC Championship coming off a horrific injury
Working on a digital transformation project NASA
Landing a role at my dream consulting firm
Joining a startup and being mentored by one of the most successful men I’ve ever met
Partnering with brands I never imagined possible
Hitting my stretch wealth goal
Downs
My 4-year relationship coming to an end
Having my start date for my consulting role pushed back to the end of the year
Coming to the realization my leg / ankle injury was much worse than I thought (not sure if it’ll ever be the same)
Dealing with numerous injuries in my training
And guess what? We learn from every up and every down. No matter what. We’re better because of it and we take every learning into the next endeavor. Which brings me to my FAVORITE activity of the year…
GOAL SETTING !!!
We all have big goals heading into 2024…net worth, relationships, career, health & fitness, etc. Moving into the new year, I will be taking on a few clients for personal training. Spiritual / Community
Relationships
Business Career
Wealth
Track & Field / Health
Personal Brand
I think long and hard about each area of my life and what it would take for me to be satisfied with my performance throughout the year. That stands as my “DO IT!” goal. Then I think about what it would take for me to be ecstatic about my performance. That’s my “Reach.”
There’s nothing better than setting these goals and seeing them right in front of me when I wake up in the morning. They keep me going day in and day out.
