Keep the Goals Visible

How to make the work feel easy

Holy sh** it’s cold 😦

And trust me, I get it…getting active and getting that workout in can feel that much more difficult when it physically hurts to walk outside.

So I want to challenge you with something.

There’s one thing that got me through every single hard workout I put myself through while training as a decathlete at the Power 5 level.

I kept my goal at the forefront of my mind every single session. Be it a school record, becoming an All-American, earning my scholarship, etc.

I never let myself get detached from the overarching goal of why I was training in the first place. I visualized myself holding the medal, holding the trophy, putting on the ring, seeing my name on the record board, etc.

This was why I worked so damn hard every single day. I had a purpose and knew where I was going…

Which is why I always ask my clients to paint me a picture of what a healthy & fit life looks like for them. I have them clearly visualize what losing 50 lbs. or toning up would look like for them.

How much more respect would you gain? How would others see you different?

These questions are incredibly important to ask.

We all have big goals heading into 2024…net worth, relationships, career, health & fitness, etc. Moving into the new year, I will be taking on a few clients for personal training. If you’re looking to gain some muscle, drop a few pounds, or just build a lasting health & fitness lifestyle moving into the new year, sign up for a free consultation call below. Let’s see if we can work together!

So I want to challenge you with getting incredibly clear on the outcomes of your fitness goals. Take a few steps here:

  • Write them down and place them somewhere where you will see them often.

  • Visualize yourself achieving this goal and carrying yourself with a newfound confidence daily.

  • Keep this goal at the front of your mind each and every workout you take yourself into.

I know how hard it can be beginning the workout for the day…especially in the deep winter months.

But I can’t emphasize enough how happy and fulfilled you will be when you finally arrive at those goals in the coming months. It’s unlike any other feeling in the world.

So please take some of these steps moving forward for your fitness journey and watch how much easier it becomes to get that work in on a consistent basis. Cheers to the work 😄
